FORtis leadership

Expertise You Can See. Accountability You Can trust.
Fortis is built on a deliberate structure: corporate leadership with the operational and financial depth to build something national, paired with an Owners' Advisory Council of founders and operators who've spent careers in the field. That combination — business discipline backed by genuine technical expertise — is what separates Fortis from organizations that are one or the other.

Fortis Leadership
Gyner Ozgul
Chief Executive Officer

Gyner Ozgul is Chief Executive Officer of Fortis Fire & Safety, a commercial fire and life safety services company backed by Imperial Capital. He leads the company's national growth strategy through organic expansion, guided by an unwavering conviction: keeping customers' people and property safe is the mission behind everything Fortis does.

Gyner brings more than two decades of experience leading distributed service organizations to the role, including prior CEO positions at private equity-backed service platforms and 13 years at Ecolab. That experience has shaped a leadership philosophy centered on the frontline, the belief that the technician is the business, and that everything else exists to support their success. Since joining Fortis in April 2025, Gyner has focused on building an organization that scales without losing sight of that principle.

His ultimate goal is to build a sustainable, scalable company centered on safety for people and property, while creating a lasting legacy for the employees who make that mission possible every day.

Outside of work, Gyner enjoys diving into the history of old technologies and how they've shaped what we use today, spends time exploring various podcast formats, and values simply catching up with his family, a welcome constant amid busy, on-the-move schedules.

Marc Wasserman
Chief Financial Officer

Marc Wasserman serves as Chief Financial Officer of Fortis Fire & Safety, where he oversees a wide-reaching portfolio spanning Finance, Accounting, Tax, Treasury, M&A and Integration, IT, Legal, Insurance, and Risk. It's a role that puts Marc at the center of both the financial discipline and the strategic growth driving Fortis forward.

In his two years with the organization, Marc has brought a builder's mindset to the CFO seat, one focused not just on managing the numbers, but on strengthening the foundation that allows Fortis to scale. His goal is simple and ongoing: to continuously improve and grow Fortis, ensuring the organization is built for long-term success as it expands its reach.

Outside the office, Marc stays sharp and active through reading, lifting, and pickleball.

Stephanie Roseman
Chief People Officer

Stephanie Roseman serves as Chief People Officer at Fortis Fire & Safety, where she leads the full spectrum of the employee experience: talent acquisition, benefits, HR systems, payroll, talent management, employee relations, safety, and fleet management. In just one year with the organization, she has become a driving force behind the people-first culture that underpins Fortis's growth.

Stephanie's focus is on building and refining the programs that put every team member in the best position to grow, creating pathways for long-term careers while ensuring the organization continues to serve its customers well and keep everyone safe. It's a dual commitment to people and purpose that shapes everything she does.

Beyond Fortis, Stephanie is active in her community, serving on the board of The Ark. She also enjoys traveling and reading in her free time.

Chris Johnson
Co-Founder and President Piper Fire Protection

Chris Johnson has spent 33 years building and leading Piper Fire Protection, establishing it as one of Florida's most respected names in fire protection and, now, a cornerstone brand within the Fortis Fire & Safety family. As President, Chris is energized by the opportunity to carry Piper's legacy forward, leveraging Fortis's national platform to extend Piper's influence and standards of excellence throughout Florida, across the country, and beyond.

Chris's leadership extends well past the walls of Piper. That commitment to shaping the industry's future runs alongside a deep investment in his own community.

As a Commissioner and Vice Mayor of Largo, Florida, Chris represents his hometown on Forward Pinellas, the county's MPO, and on the Florida League of Cities Legislative Municipal Operations Committee. He has chaired the Board of Trustees for HCA Largo hospital, the Central Pinellas Chamber of Commerce, and a local youth soccer league, and remains active across numerous charitable and civic organizations, a track record of service that mirrors the same protect-and-serve mindset he brings to Piper every day.

James Moyer
President CJ Suppression

J Moyer has led CJ Suppression's Corona, California operations for nearly three decades, bringing an unmatched depth of institutional knowledge to the Fortis Fire & Safety family. J oversees the full scope of the business, every department manager, operations, accounting, sales, and contracts, ensuring that clients receive consistent, first-class service at every touchpoint.

J's roots with CJ Suppression run deep, dating back to 1996. That tenure has given J a rare vantage point: a firsthand understanding of how the business has grown and evolved, paired with the perspective to guide it into its next chapter. Since Fortis, J has continued that work for the past three years and eight months, anchoring the team through a period of expansion while keeping the client experience front and center.

For J, the job has never just been about the work, it's about the people doing it. J's goal is to be a mentor and coach to the CJ Suppression team, helping every member grow into their potential while never losing sight of the standard clients expect and deserve.

Outside the office, J trades contracts and pipelines for tackle boxes and trail maps, firing up the smoker for a good BBQ, casting a line while fly fishing, camping and off-roading through the desert, or restoring Hot Rods. Family is never far from the picture either, with regular trips to visit kids and grandkids topping the list of favorite ways to spend time away from work.

Justin Peterson
Co-Founder & President at Integrated Fire & Security Solutions Inc

Justin Peterson brings a founder's perspective to his role as President of Integrated Fire & Security Solutions, a Fortis Fire & Safety brand company. As one of the company's original co-founders 20 years ago, Justin has guided the business from its earliest days through its evolution into a Fortis brand, and today oversees day-to-day operations, executes the CEO's long-term strategic vision, and leads senior leadership teams across the organization.

For Justin, the work is personal. He's driven by a simple but powerful belief: what Integrated Fire & Security Solutions does matters. Few things are more important than the safety and security of the students, educators, families, and leaders the company serves every day. That sense of purpose shapes his goal for the years ahead: staying at the forefront of the industry while solving customers' toughest life safety and security challenges, and building a company that consistently attracts and retains top talent.

A true Florida native at heart, Justin spends his time outside the office enjoying everything the state has to offer: golf, boating, and fishing, along with outdoor activities and, most importantly, time with family.

Fortis Family of Brands

Local expertise, national strength
Large group of people outside at night with raised hands, smiling and posing for a photo.
The best of both — in every market we serve.

Trust is built locally. It lives in the technician who knows your building, knows your local codes, and shows up when something goes wrong at midnight. It lives in the relationship between a fire protection company and the community it has served for decades.

But capability is built at scale. The training standards, the technical resources, the purchasing power, the shared knowledge of a unified national organization — these are the things that make a local provider exceptional rather than merely adequate.

Fortis was built on this belief.

Our network of regionally rooted fire and life safety companies delivers genuine local expertise in every market we serve — technicians who know the regional AHJs, the local codes, and the specific demands of the facilities in their community. Behind each of them stands the full weight of a premier national organization.

You build. You create. You push the world forward.
We protect it all.
